Indy Achieves, initiated by Mayor Joe Hogsett and housed at EmployIndy, seeks to close the skills gap by increasing the proportion of Marion County adults with a high-quality degree or credential from 42% to 65% by 2027.

Position Summary
The Manager of Student Progress is responsible for coordinating with partner schools and organizations to provide direct services to students as they progress towards postsecondary completion. This includes developing and administering Indy Achieves programming to increase 21st Century Scholars enrollment and increase on-time FAFSA completion. The position will also assist the Associate Director in developing curriculum and school partners for administering a mentorship program as well as assisting Student Success Coaches at postsecondary partners.

Primary Responsibilities
• Develop partnerships and execute on programming to increase on-time FAFSA completion for K-12 and independent adult students and develop a pilot for tax return completion services at K-12 schools
• Administer counselor engagement and assist on marketing efforts to increase 21st Century Scholars enrollment
• Assist Associate Director to identify participants for Indy Achieves mentorship program both at high schools and with adult service entities
• Work with the Youth Initiatives Manager to broker school relationships and execute on programming
• Assist Associate Director with identifying partnerships to provide direct service interventions to students at K-12 and postsecondary levels
• Assist Executive Director to develop Early Warning Intervention Systems at K-12 school partners

Education and Experience
• Associate or Bachelor Degree and at least five years of professional experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Working knowledge of business and civic community landscape in Marion County
• Familiarity with K-12 education system in Marion County
• Knowledge of the theories, principles, practices and methodology of statutes, regulations, and policies involving higher education and/or K-12 education
• Knowledge of existing programs in the student support space
• Ability to navigate effectively through the needs of EmployIndy, IUPUI, and Ivy Tech
• Ability to develop strong professional networks of partners to help execute upon goals
• Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Proactive nature; able to anticipate conflicts before they arise
• Ability to work well independently as well as collaboratively
• Ability to effectively allocate and prioritize time to several tasks to ensure completion of all
