Talent Alignment Manager - EmployIndy

Position Summary

The primary purpose of the Talent Alignment Manager role is to ensure talent pipelines within our workforce development ecosystem are aligned and matched to the needs of our employers. The Talent Alignment Manager is responsible for ensuring a seamless process for employer partners to receive skilled talent in a variety of ways including work-based learning opportunities and direct employment options. Time will be spent mapping talent pipelines, communicating employer talent needs, managing the menu of work-based learning options, and creating a systemic talent alignment process on behalf of the ecosystem. The Talent Alignment Manager will directly manage EmployIndy's Recruiters and Work-Based Learning Coordinators to mobilize the cross-functional team and create efficiency. This position is on the Business Solutions Team. 

Primary Functions and Responsibilities
• Partner with the Business Solutions Department to promote the benefits and incentives of hiring individuals from the workforce ecosystem
• Collaborate with the Career Services Department and ecosystem partners to ensure continuity of information, promotion of work-based learning and employment opportunities, and baseline job readiness needed by employers
• Oversee implementation and usage of internal candidate referral portal by the Talent Alignment Team
• Ensure candidate job readiness baselines are met by implementing baselines across the workforce ecosystem and ensure continuous improvement of assessments
• Manage and streamline the business structure and process for hiring projects and work-based learning opportunities from initial conversation through final placement for youth and adult opportunities
• Engage and coach employers on effective work-based learning opportunities
• Map candidate pipelines and skills produced by the workforce ecosystem, forecast skill deficits, and recommend talent training cohorts
• Manage work-based learning budget and projections
• Coach and support the members of the Talent Alignment Team
• Proactively identify areas of improvement within Talent Alignment Team
• Track, report out, and own team key performance indicators as they relate to Talent Alignment Team

Education and Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree preferred, experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Strong human resource knowledge and experience
• Strong project management knowledge and experience
• Knowledge of employment law, recruiting, and interviewing
• Knowledge of workforce development industry and related Indiana and federal law, regulations, and policies
• Highly skilled in organizing programs and ensuring outcomes are met
• Highly skilled in managing team members and motivating them to reach goals
• High skill level in professional written and oral communication
• High skill level and proficiency in the use of CRM, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to effectively present information to businesses and public groups
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
