Work-Based Learning Manager - EmployIndy

Position Summary
The primary purpose of the Work-Based Learning (WBL) Manager role is to administer the suite of work-based learning options available to employers and participants of various programs administered by EmployIndy. The WBL Manager will ensure a seamless process for our employer partners who host participants via the work-based learning incentives. The WBL Manager is responsible for creating, implementing, and continuously improving work-based learning structures which are used across all programs and partnerships. This position reports directly to the Director of Business Solutions and will supervise the Work-Based Learning Coordinators.

Primary Functions and Responsibilities

  • Partner with the various program leadership to understand types of work-based learning offered by each program 
  • Manage the business functions of work-based learning opportunities from initial conversation through final placement
  • Create and implement employer agreements and track in CRM
  • Accurately negotiate and administer work-based learning documentation and related materials including but not limited to training plans, job descriptions, timelines, invoices, and salaries
  • Determine work-based learning guidelines and requirements by studying job descriptions, job qualifications, and programmatic guidelines
  • Forecast and track work-based learning budget for each program
  • Coach work-based learning employers throughout the duration of the learning opportunity which includes meeting the participants at employer worksites and requires travel throughout Marion County and the surrounding counties
  • Research national and local best practices associated with work-based learning for youth and adults
  • Proactively and accurately report project needs and outcomes
  • Approve and provide quality contral of individual work-based learning projects 
  • Provide performance management and supervisory responsibilities of Work-Based Learning Coordinators

Education and Experience

  • Associates Degree or higher; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Work history of 3 to 5 years of experience in human resources and employee training preferred
  • Progressive work history with increasing levels of responsibility and accomplishment
  • High skill level in written and oral communication
  • High level of professionalism with internal and external stakeholders
  • Results driven to meet the objectives of the organization and address needs of work-based learning partners
  • Skilled in project and budget management
  • Must have philosophical agreement with the goals and objects of EmployIndy
