The Senior Business Development Manager - Modern Apprenticeship is responsible for prospecting, developing, and executing new employer partnerships agreements on behalf of EmployIndy to meet the needs of our Modern Apprenticeship program.
This position will be located at EmployIndy and report to the Senior Director, Business Partnerships.

To be successful in this role you will accomplish:
• Assist to create, implement, and lead the business recruitment strategy
• Assess current and future workforce needs that can be supported through an apprenticeship system
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify further occupations to support those needs
• Proactively target, outreach, and prospect new employer partners by formulating a strategic and comprehensive list of companies to prospect, qualify, and close to hire apprentices in identified industries.
• Identify aspects of the product and sales process that could be further improved to aid additional business recruitment
• Deliver presentations and lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping all colleagues and stakeholders informed of plans, important information, regular reporting, and communicate critical issues
• Proactively keep our CRM database and other tools, as identified, up to date with all relevant information
• Support annual renewals process for key business partners
• Represent EmployIndy and the Modern Apprenticeship program by giving presentations, attending networking events, and staying connected to leaders in the business community
• Facilitate seamless connection of new business partners to their assigned account manager as businesses commit to hire apprentices

Requirements
Education and Experience:
• Post-Secondary credential required; Associates Degree preferred
• 5 years of business development or sales experience
• Experience selling services or intangibles preferred
• Experience in workforce development economic development or related industry preferred
• Progressive work history with increasing levels of accomplishment required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Results driven to meet the mission, vision, and goals of EmployIndy
• Knowledge of CRM, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including customizing pitches
• Knowledge of career pathways, talent strategies, workforce development and/or economic development highly desired
• Knowledge of sales cycles and revenue cycles
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to meet with partners at their locations
