Staff Accountant Accounts Receivable

The Staff Accountant – Accounts Receivable position will be responsible for maintaining and continuously developing a robust and efficient receivable process at EmployIndy. This role will also be responsible for the tracking of funds drawn and bank balances. This position will be located at the EmployIndy downtown office and report to the Controller.

To be successful in this role you will accomplish:
• Own and ensure the integrity of all accounts receivable processes
• Track and record checks weekly
• Maintain the various methods of deposits via credit card
• Transfer funds weekly based on daily bank balance
• Record funds drawn from DWD
• Invoice customers as needed and track payments
• Ensure the AR Aging reports are run frequently and handled appropriately
• Maintain and own all accounts receivable related SOPs
• Exhibit initiative and analytical skills by improving processes

Requirements
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of two years experience
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP and accounts receivable processes
• Experience in working with non-profit fund accounting preferred
• Progressive work history with increasing levels of accomplishment preferred

• Knowledge of CRM, Google Suite, and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge and experience with accounting software preferred
• Ability to analyze data and reach sound conclusions, work under time pressure, and meet deadlines
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Knowledge of fund accounting, Uniform Grant Guidance, GAAP and Internal Revenue Circulars preferred
